As someone mentioned above, one 17 was hit by a MANPAD, and it's been a while. Several have been hit by small arms.

There have been far more than 3 damaged airframes AOR mishaps, I can think of 7 without much effort.

ORM is a great thing, but you can never forget that in essence it's an attempt to quantify the inherently unquantifiable. It's only as good as the model used, and how well it's filled out. I just did the wonderful new version of AMC's yesterday for a young crew. I filled it out correctly, but it came with a much lower score than I would have put on the very young crew. Not to mention it requires info that the AF doesn't even track--PIC time? Where is that on the flight records?
