That argument has been beat to hell, and back a dozen times on here in the last year. At least half of which were about PSA.
Rats rationalize open time, and picking up the phone on their day off.
WHY WOULD YOU ANSWER the phone on your day off during a furlough? What do you think Debbie is calling you to ask if her voice sounds any better, or Carrie is going to be any less of a witch?
Again, there is the Rat word without any backing.
BTW we have to call scheduling before and after each trip that is assigned. We also have to call them between 7 and 9 pm before our set of reserve days. I have yet to be junior manned while on reserve. As for the open time i am still waiting for your proof that it will bring back the furloughes. You know of more flying we are going to get? Cause that is what it is going to take.
As for the Unions position. They can't advocate not picking up open time because that is a work action and that my friend is illegal. So don't try get an Official answer from them. Off the record they may say that we shouldn't pick up open time. I have yet to read a reasonable explaination as to why or how it will help bring furloughes back.
When labor costs go up the company will bring back furloughes. So stop being a Rat and do your part to increase labor costs.
