No, they're not.... I lost a JS on American because the gate agent didn't know how to work their computer system, and they wouldn't listen to me.... It isn't the first time I've jump seated with AA and I usually let them try it themselves once then I tell them how to enter the info for CASS and it works out fine.
I did make it home on the next flight and I am grateful for that.
