@ chongololo, I completely agree. I saw how bad 'no to little' pay was for pilots AND the workforce at ATA, and then to expect loyalty from them when times were tough... That philosophy made no practical sense. You get what you pay for... if its $7/hour, then all you'll get in return is a $7/hr attitude, and no morale or loyalty whatsoever.
Why Indiana? what is the unemployment rate out there and average earnings per year, folks in some parts of the country just don't have the cash to get on a plane, the midwest has been hit hard and in some cases the hardest from the downturn.
The next question is what type of equipment, a 402 or turboprop or jet.
