I flew at FLX years ago, but the training was good as was the mx.

As far as pressuring you to fly though... um, well it happened a lot. I told them no a couple times and my phone rang and rang until I left. Nothing like an unlicensed dispatcher to tell you when to fly *sarcasm*.

I'm of the opinion that either they are having a hard time finding pilots or that story is gossip for all the Airnet guys to drool over and laugh at the FLX guys. While I would divert for thunderstorms and make sure I was filed IFR during my time there, I was most certainly in the minority. Most guys prided themselves on never diverting for anything. While I don't condone that type of thinking it certainly differs from the current "high mins" story posted earlier.
So either that guy was a fluke or something has really changed at FLX in the last few years.

Long story short, anyone flying night freight should be given some respect. Those of us who have been there will certainly give it.
