We occasionally get helo bubbas making the switch to fixed wing (at least to the Falcon). Most of them are either in the engineering pipeline or a command & control type. There are also rotary wing to fixed wing transition boards that meet in which rotary heads can apply to swap over, but they typically don't select many for it and it's competitive. Those that do swap go straight from the helo into their specific aircraft transition course and do not go back to Navy flight school for advanced training.

Every once in a while an ex-Army DCA comes through the course with zero fixed wing flight time and we have to try to teach them to fly fixed wing the first time in the Falcon which proves to be quite the challenge.
