Suburban Air Freight
I flew for SUB AIR for almost a year. A brandnew Caravan all over Nebraska--and then they transferred me to KNX to fly between KNX and IND for a US Postal Service Contract (they bid these all over the US)....very top notch operation and the pay was okay, considering what other small freight companies pay....I was making $175 per day for a Caravan newhire.....
Excellent equipment and maint.....no pressure to fly in marginal wx.....great group of pilots....but know your stuff....the interview is oral/sim and then an interview with one or both of the owners....after ground school your check ride is with one of the owners, who is also an check airman----IOE last one week flying the cargo run you will be assigned.....New hires go to the Caravan---they got 'em all over and its great winter experience in Nebraska......You will be asked to sign a one year training agreement---and they do enforce it...take it from me....i left for US Airways and they pursued me for the full 10K....
All in all its a great company, great pilots and good maint........
