Amerijet has made a mockery out of their negotiations with the IBT. They have stated that they have an agreement to move ABX freight, utilizing ABX aircraft. All of this has come up in talks with certain check airmen who have been compliant for that company. The company has never discussed this with the Local (769), and feels that it is within its right to operate these aircraft, which is standard for them. They have always refused to discuss scope with the union negotiators, and even after four years of negotiations, refuses to acknowledge it. I can't believe that professional ABX pilots would be furloughed, so AJT - the most virulent anti-union (and worst cargo airline in terms of compensation and benefits) - could keep its sorry pilot group employed. I hope that ABX and the IBT will fight this for all its worth.
