I am currently in the third chapter of the Jeppesen private pilot maual and was wondering how in depth you have to really know Section B Stability?

I got the three basic airplane axis of an aircraft but how through does one need to know power effects, keel effect, and directional stability? This stuff is boring me to death.

Need to move on to the important topic, stalls.
