The court ruled that they could NOT strike in bankruptcy. After that ruling, a strike would have been considered an ILLEGAL job action.

Actually it's never been tested...It's a bit of a grey area...Under the RLA, you would be free to strike...
There are other options...In 1998, the ASA pilots worked to rule because the NMB wouldn't release them...That works just as well as a strike...If you work to rule, the airline comes to a screaching halt....and you still get a paycheck....
What do you think of folks that take jobs at mainline carriers for "substandard pay"? Why don't you just quit and go somewhere you can be payed what you think you are worth.
