Well, Holy Panini. It is almost a certainty anymore in a Regional thread that people show their ignorance, bias, prejudices, fears and jealousies. Why can't some of you just accept this story for what it is - the first time an ASA flight was flown with an all female, African American crew.
As a female, non-white myself, who also broke into a field long dominated by white men, I say congratulations to them, job well done. Aviation is a bit behind the law when it comes to women and minorities, but I am gratified to see positive movement in that direction. For those who are already in the profession (any profession), I believe that it is our job to reach out to others, provide them the same opportunites available to us, and not pull up the ladder behind us.
