KeyLargoAir, don't make all of your decisions based on the feedback of a couple disgruntled students. I have been through the NPA program, currently a CFI and must say I received all I signed up for, the experience is what you make of it. In far less than a year I had my CFI certificate and was teaching. I know some of the guys posting on this forum, and their history. The lead individual was a risky pilot who was kicked out of NPA because he was a risk to himself and others, taking a cessna 172 above 18k feet, propstriking and wrecking a plane, and selling time in the school aircraft when he wasn't even a commercial pilot, let alone part of a 135 operation. Give NPA the oppertunity to help you achieve your dream for a reasionable price. I finished the program for about $200 over my contracted price, cause I had to re take my CFI checkride. NPA has 141 and part 61 programs, just depends on which location you go to. I was fully financed for the part 61 program. I had a friend attend flight school in Tulsa, he still does not have his CFI and it has been over 4 years. I have never been to ATP, but several of their students switched to NPA and told me of some bad experiences, but I take that with a grain of salt, and so should you about any negative feedback you get on NPA.
