Unlikely, Airbus is subsidized by the EU. So it's not going anywhere. Neither is Boeing, even if the 787 was a failure (which so far is not), Boieng is also subsidized by the US through exclusive military and space contracts.
Competition is good, competition is here to stay. If don't believe that, then I suggest you lock yourself in your house, cause globalization is taking over full force, and airlines will continue to play the two (maybe 3 or 4 with Embraer and Canadair) against each other for a better product.
