We have some border security (at least temporaily), I am all in favor of more. But to say you aren't in favor of enforcing the law accept at the border is silly. Instead of a revolving door of deportations, wouldn't it be better to secure the border. Hire Google (or FedEx) to create a verifiable database of every SSN/Address/Name and prevent illegal aliens from working with illegal ID.
Why do we grant citizenship to every baby born in the US? It was a good idea when we were trying to grow the country, but, certainly not now.
For the violent illegal aliens incarcerated in California, why do you want to release them back into the wild? Wouldn't it be better to keep them locked up?
Since we're going for 100% enforcement of our laws, why do we normally only arrest prostitutes? Why aren't individuals who knowingly hire illegal aliens punished severely? Under RICO laws, govt can seize your car in some cases....so, why not hang out at a Lowes or HD in CA and prosecute a few of the folks who hire day laborers for cash?
Instead of using the CSI folks for bank robberies/murders we should place 100% of law enforcement effort on finding/deporting illegal aliens. After all, sheer numbers make that the number 1 law breaking event in the country, with an estimated 15-20 million illegal aliens here. And every day they stay here is another day they break the law
Bank robberies peaked in 2001 with just over 10,000 heists for comparison. And, the average take is 10k....so, illegal aliens are also far more expensive than bank robbers in regards to their economic impact
