My CFI expired in 1990. But, to be fair, I was a Line Check Airman on the Embraer for 4 years. It's like being a CFI but it pays LESS. I was at a Bay Area airport recently and discovered that - even at a cheap flight school - a Citabria instructor bills out $47/hr. My generous regional paid me $12/hr to conduct IOE in a jet...they can kiss my ***.
