"allow this to happen"? You are confused and have grossly unrealistic expectations regarding the power of a union, IMO.

Mark my words-- UPS is about to have some of the best years in the 108 year history of this company!!
-Competition is gone
-oil is down
-they must be confident if they are buying back billions in their own stock
-buying airplanes
-fed is pumping money into the economy
I'll stand by my point, if we casually allow guys to be tossed to the street for years, this organization is done for!
