These people are making minimum wage plus tips, and they now have your life in there hands. Tip for a job well done, and maybe the safe, on-time, and pleasant van drivers will continue to show up for work.
Like I said, minimum wage + tips goes a long way, especially if you would at a hotel that's at all busy in any way. Now imagine the times when you see a van driver get MORE than a dollar tip, which with non-airline crews happens all the time. Now, I can definitely see why they might not like airline crews because they're cheap (I DO tip by the way), but frankly, it's their job to get to the airport in a certain amount of time to pick up the crews. If they don't, then they'll lose their job, so it's not like just because they hate airline crews they're going to stop showing up at the airport. And I'm not going to lose sleep over a van driver because he hates flight crews.
