I third Tim's resolution, so Tim +3. I think that qualifies enough from biblical days for a stoning? Or for someone to get stoned. I can't remember.

Compass is different than Mesaba and the truth is Mesaba didn't put themselves today in the position with the flow through and flow down that Compass is. I'm sure Mesaba wouldn't resist taking every single furloughed DAL pilot if we started furloughing this afternoon, would they? And if you're at Mesaba and don't like that CPZ could be stapled and/or that Delta pilots are fighting for CPZ then guess what, you should've applied between Feb 2007 to 2008 to get hired at either DAL or NWA. There were plenty of opportunities to come over.

The mission to me, this is in my tiny brains understanding of the ALPA world, is to get the union to resist allowing DCI 76 seat jets to continue to expand and perform mainline replacement flying using Delta facilities on routes formerly flown by Delta and Northwest Airlines.

I am all about grabbing CPZ, changing section 1 to discontinue new 76 seat flying outside of mainline and going from there. Its about stopping the replacement flying, its not about stapling wholly owned DCIs just cuz. Now, I do think it imparative that the issues with regionals be addressed. Issues like that they are no longer stepping stones, you're there for years and years longer than you would've been before and at stepping stone wages which further drives the economic matrix to allow replacement flying and for some reason its being allowed by mainline pilots.

CPZ is the way to change course in a positive manner, take back 76 seat jets and grab a group of pilots willing, in my belief, to be brought on at the bottom of the list and willing to take the hit if DAL furloughed tomorrow.
