An 18 year Captain in the 50 will not have an opportunity to to bid Captain in the 70 and will end up on reserve in CVG as a Captain while a more junior Captain holds a line in the 70 in CVG. This is all because it will be a displacement bid and the more senior Captain won't have an opportunity to bid since he won't be displaced. He asked why seniority is not going to be honored here and the response he was given was that if a voluntary bid was open to the entire pilot group it would be a massive training cost to the company. THIS IS CRAP. Basically your seniority and your contract don't matter because it would cost the company money.
