I would have to doubt that most loved ones are currently thinking of expensive cars and diamond rings. If given the chance to trade a deck expansion, BMW 745i, or a plasma T.V. for another conversation with someone they lost, i'd assume most will choose the conversation.

Now, personally, i can't say that i know what those people are going through. I'm not even sure what i'd feel like after such an event. It's a total misfortune, and unfortunately, when mistakes are made in this industry, deaths typically are the result.

From my standpoint, it seems a little early for lawsuits, especially considering that the investigation is still going on, and only minor information has actually come to the surface.

I'd expecdt any and every private company involved in this to be on the recieving in of flak, whether it's the people who own and operate the airport, or whoever designed the airport without a "protected area" off the threshold of the runway. can't remember if federal agencies can be sued but if they could/can i wouldn't doubt seeing something against the FAA for lack of action, especially the control tower stuff (someone will definatley go after that), comair will see some interesting issues from it, etc etc...

It's terrible that lawsuits seem to be the answer to everyones problems...but...i do ask, what else would you do?
