Thanks for posting that. Those of us who have never ventured outside of the US or Western Europe have no idea of what real poverty is and when you see it first hand it will change your world view permanently. We are a very lucky 15% of the world.
We are extremely fortunate when you only have a small pot to p*** in,
but it's enough. "Making do",another way of expressing DOD's term,
"field expediency" has been a way of life in this region.
A friend of ours died yesterday, and he exemplified this culture.
