Yes, the $1500 stands. It is a Letter of Agreement, so it's in place regardless of the T/A outcome. Here is the pertinent part
"New Hire Crewmembers: In return for a three (3) year voluntary commitment to remain in the Anchorage domicile and to forgo any transition bid opportunities, the Company will provide the following to crewmembers hired directly into a position in Anchorage.
a. A $1,500 pay period stipend beginning with the start of IOE and ending at the completion of the probationary period."
Which means a new hire coming straight into ANC will be paid guarantee of $52,000 that first year.
I appreciate all the quick replies. As I'm sure you've guessed, I'm not a UPS pilot now, but I'm aspiring to be one...just waiting for the opportunity not to f-up an interview.
As far as the commute, if I get some brown love, I don't know if I have a choice at first, but who knows, I may like the Pac Rim stuff. It'd be a nice change from the NE corridor for a spell.
All they have to do to turn this fact-finding mission into any stress in my life is to call me, like me and give me a class date.
Thanks ya'll....
