You might want to factor in the juniority of the ANC base. The first 50 ANC MD-11 capts. got down to 1960 seniority number out of 2750. ANC is suppose to grow to 300+ crews over the next few years. How low will the 300th ANC capt. be? Who knows, but it will probably be someone with only only a couple of years at UPS. If I were a Alaska Airline F/O based and living in ANC, I would beating down UPS door. What airline opportunity is out there, that would let you jump years in normal seniority to make capt, let alone the highest pay in the industry.
