This is correct. I think if you leave the company then come back the years do not count. ie they have to be consecutive. Since the first contract you loose vacation longevity.
no they don't have to be consecutive. Once you are vested you are vested. My total employment has been showing up since I came back on my Longevity high five list that are sent out every year/or two years.
