The Victory at Sea series were recorded during WWII and shown at movie theatres to help with moral here in the states. Lowell Thomas was the primary commentator, his son Lowell Jr. was a long time Alaskan bush pilot and Lt. Governor of the state.

I remember as a kid in the 70's watching episodes on I think it was the PBS channel out of Anchorage. Proud to be an American!
