From the March 17, 2009 USAPA Grievance Committee Update: "After the parties receive a transcript of the proceedings (March 24, 2009), both parties will have 30 days to write briefs that will be submitted to the System Board of Adjustment at a date to be determined. Once the briefs are exchanged, the arbitrator will usually issue a draft decision within 30 days. At that point in time, either the union or the Company may ask for an Executive Session of the Board, after which the Arbitrator will then issue a final determination in the dispute. If the grievance is sustained, the union will ask for additional testimony and evidence before the Board in regard to remedy."

Looks like we're still about two months away from the draft decision from the arbitrator on this grievance. Extra time beyond that if additional testimony and evidence is necessary in regard to remedy. I was hoping the conclusion of this grievance would keep the pilots from the final March thru May furlough groups on the list as active pilots. Looks like that's not going to happen with the remaining time required to achieve a remedy. In the mean time, at least progress is being made in one way or another...
