I've been with AirTran for 8.5 years. Everything said about working here is true. Quick upgrade, new acft, etc.

What no one talks about is the sh!tty labor/management relationship. Most of the people who have posted on this thread are obviously newhires who haven't been here long enough to educate themselves.

We have been in contract negotiations for years with ZERO progress. The company just posed it's HIGHEST QUARTERLY REVENUE EVER! Our management team pays themselves more than any top execs at ANY US AIRLINE, including Southwest who earned aprox 10X what we did last quarter.

Every company contract proposal has been concessionary. The most recent update indicates that they are looking for more in the way of concessions from our already weak Scope section as well as reduced retirement benefits.

This management group shows nothing but contempt and total disrespect for it's employees. We are viewed as nothing more than a necessary evil.

You new guys need to quit drinking the cool aid they're serving up in groundschool and visit www.npa-atl.org and www.airtranpilots.org for the real scoop.
