Direct to captain you say? So they can't even find people from within their own ranks to move into the left seat because they aren't staying? Sounds like a company I want to pay so I can work for them.

I really wish that all of my fellow low timers would start seeing that this trend doesn't just hurt the guys at the top of the food chain. By paying for training you're making less money now, and in turn you're going to be making less in the future because you've already set the precident. Quit cutting your throat, and every other pilot at every level's throat just becuase you want to fly a jet. It might take me a little longer to get the experience, but I'm not going to have an additional $30,000 in loans to repay on a $15k per year.

Think about this. That guy that just hooked up the single point to your RJ is likely making more money than you. He didn't spend 4 years in college to get there, and he didn't pay for his ratings, and he didn't pay his employers to learn how to operate the fuel truck.
