I put sponsor in quotes because I really don't know if its a formal program or what, but as I understand it a letter will get you only so far, whereas a letter along with a personal visit to a chief pilot type will move your application to a shorter stack. Thats what my buddy did, he and the ACP went over my stuff and he said that I should get a call, that I was in a "short stack" of apps and to hang tight. Just wondering if others have had similar experiences with current CAL pilots pushing thier stuff for them. Its been about 4-5 months I guess since that went down.
agreed.....the person has to , in addition to writing an online rec, go into their CPs office and tell them about you.
As in my case, I was told that I was moved to a folder( computer folder) where applicants are picked from. I have no idea where in that folder I am, OR how they go about prioritizing people and picking them out of those folders. I would LOVE to know where I am in the line, but in the mean time I guess I just have to relax and wait.
I was told by the person helping me that I just had to "sit and play the waiting game now"
