I am sorry that Piedmont is furloughing. But you have the facts all wrong. Dashes are all old and won't be lasting much longer. I am sure they will be getting replacements for them soon. They are probably just preparing for that.
You're right his post was out of place and incorrect on a few fronts. It appears that was his first post on APC and maybe he is trying to vent all of his frustrations in one paragraph - which didn't really come together very well.

I think a lot of PDT guys are happy to see PSA recalling - you've had guys on furlough for a lot longer than we have. Its not ideal for us to lose planes, but if thats whats gonna happen I think a lot of us would rather see our flying go to our sister wholly pwned PSA than anyone else.

One more thing;
The statement "Dashes are all old and won't be lasting much longer"
is partially incorrect. Some of them are incredibly old, some aren't. Our 50 seaters for example have all been leased out until 2014-2015.
