Seems I remember R.A. is pretty tight with T.A.M. who is currently president and chairman of Airbus N.A. Also, I believe he previously served on the board of at least one of T.A.M. companies. Since they were both high ranking FedEx officers at one time and both good friends with F.S. it wouldn't be too far fetched of an idea that they would be coming to FedEx. However, R.A. is in the business of making money and no longer works for FedEx. Remember, he helped build the fleet for Emory which was a FedEx competitor. For all we know it could be UPS, DHL, TNT, or Lufthansa Cargo. But then again someone may have decided its time for FedEx to move from the MD11 in the interest of safety. Rest assured Lloyds of London and AON would support that plan. BTW, I don't hold the opinion that the MD11 is unsafe. I think its a great airplane but then again the past record of the MD11 doesn't seem to support my opinion.
