First, I'll say I like DS however, I don't think he is the right person at this critical junction for VC. I would challenge your statement that he "

Did he really think he would be displaced? Is he only a viable candidate if he is based in ANC? Would he serve the crewforce differently if he was based elsewhere? I'd like to know, but DS has not put out anything publicly regarding his candidacy.
Sounds like the ANC mafia simply wants "our guy" and it only matters that he is ANC based.
