Historically Spirit has always given longevity to pilots on furlough. The company decided that past precedence made it necessary to do so this time around as well. Im not sure though if there is a limit to the amount of longevity they will grant you......if someone is out for a few years I dont know if they would come back at year 3 or 4 or whatever.
