I will never do something just because society deems it so. If someone deserves a tip, you will know this. While this person is working you will think about the job this person is doing, how and if they are going above what you expect.

I have no problem giving a buck or two when a driver makes the extra effort. But I will never pony up my cash just because it is expected for me to do so.
