We are in tough times, and need real leaders. Anyone can lead and do reasonably well in the boom years, but we are in the bust years. You say go look for other jobs, but the rats leaving is a sure sign the ship is sinking. When the carrier runs aground you don't yell at the crew, you change the skipper. One bad leader can destroy a company, any company.
Ahhhh but in the civilian world, my only experience, mgmt folks usually circle the wagons to protect each other and blame others for the failures. Square peg into round hole concept.
