Hey guys, at a flight school I am at, a student came in and started to fly with quite a few hours TT, but he hasn't completed his private yet. All his time was in Canada. He was asking if he could use that time toward a rating here in the states or not. If so, the problem comes in that an instructor never signs the students flight logbook, as all signatures are done in a different logbook and he can't get them.

My question is, can he use that time, or can he get access to those logs to use them here? Or will the FAA all that time to be used (only like 10 hours or so) with the understanding of Canadian regulations and how they do their logbook flight log signatures.
