We have never had a Min Pay Per Day here and i have been here since 84. We HAVE always had MPDP (Duty period). What we gave up last time was the 3.43 to 1 trip rig which equated to the 7 hour days. There was then and is still is trip rig washout, it's just a different ratio. MPPD would be a great thing but it is costly and obviously we couldn't get it along with everything else this time.
