BDF, this thread, while possibly allowing you to vent has gotten a little out of control. A couple of questions I have. 1) Was JK the on call pilot? 2) Did you follow the proper protocol? If the answer to these 2 questions is yes then I think that you should ask for a sit down with JK and hash it out as the professional that I know that you are. If however the answer to either of the questions is no and it was not an emergency that needed the input of the Certificate Chief Pilot, then perhaps you were out of line. If you did not follow protocol, called me on a holiday and I was with my children, I would have hung up on you also. I suspect that if you were in the same situation you may have reacted the same way. Furthermore, depending on the circumstances, if I was to see this discussion on a public web board I would probably have you in for a visit to explain yourself. It's not like he doesn't know who you are. Hopefully JK is more mature and patient than I am. When you personalize the thread like you have, you have gone over the the line. How would you feel toward a pilot that worked under you and behaved this way on a web board? There have been some good suggestions given above such as contacting you LEC rep or JF the professional standards rep. I no longer work at Compass but when I was there one of the very bright spots was the people. You paint a picture of a horrible place to work and give the impression that everything sucks. Afterall, it is a regional airline. I hope things work out ok for you.
