Does anyone else think that the FAA will let KLEX tower get away with only having one controller working when TWO were required? How is it that all of the publicity will now be focused on the what the pilots did and every other aspect of the crash will be put to rest because the ______ media is sooo ______ stupid. The day of the crash, they tried to find everything they could so to make people watch their station. Now, that everything has somewhat settled down, all anyone will worry about is how and why this happened. IN MY OPINION, it happened for one simple reason which I will not say, but would venture to say most of us on probably feel the same way and understand this could happen to anyone of us on any given day(complacency).

However, the point I am trying to make is that the FAA will probably go after the pilots and waste all of their resources on persecuting these guys when in fact the control tower was KNOWINGLY OPERATING ILLEGALLY!!!! What do you think would happen if a flight crew operated without a flight attendant? How much trouble do we get in when we don't have MX sign the MX can??? I know a captain that was FIRED because a passenger boarded drunk and he was unaware of it. It is ridiculous that the FAA will PROBABLY forget about the fact that someone was caught operating illegally and that it will take who knows how long before some bureacrat knucklehead figures out that that issue should be taken care of as well as whatever comes of this.

Maybe we should send in the TSA to see if the controller smelled like alcohol??? I am sure they could still smell it three weeks later...
