paying $30,000 to work in terrible conditions is not something that I would like to do, never, even to fly an airplane. But that's my opinion.

I spent about 30K from 0 to my MEI certificate. I tried to spend the least money on training. But had an excellent CFI and worked very hard. I did CFI for 1.5 years, while doing some glider tows on weekend and some C414 flights for a corporate company, got hired by a regional, paid off my loan, and I am very happy with all of that.
I don't believe in spending crazy amounts for flight training, but again, that's my opinion.
