Comair? Oh yes, our students used to all want to work there. Too bad they furloughed 300, with no recall in sight, and even if they did, you'd be an FO for 10-12 years. Other Delta regionals, oh yes, they all furloughed too. But, hey, give me that check and let's fly!"

WOW, I can't imagine having to explain all that!
So whats the difference between explaining that to any student at any other part 141 or part 61. The industry is bad right now. The money is more...yup. And I can say that while paying my loan back and still not an FO. However, I have been hired by 3 regionals but had my class dates cancelled. I believe that the training is worth it. It is what u make of it. Instructing is a means to get to the next level. If instructing was so great with pay, bennies and QOL, why would people move on? SJS?

DCA does a quality job of training its students and instructors. Are there issues with MGMT. Maybe...Sure. Where isnt there? MGMT has been gutted since I started there and again, it is what it is. Treat it for what it is...a stepping stone. I have enjoyed my time there. Did not think I would be there for this long but life throws curves...

The flight bennies are great. Been to many great place.
