You may actually get special treatment as your unit is losing it's aircraft - BRAC affected people get special rules. That means that some units may waive the requirement to be an AC, etc. You may also use the BRAC as an excuse to get you your AC cert early.

Regardless, if you don't make the phone calls, you'll never get yes for an answer. Don't let anything you read on this board prevent you from talking to everyone at AFRC (rated personnel to start).
