I agree, but this is what happens when a decision is made tha one side finds completely unworkable and the other has no problem with.
The Delta merger has both sides a little upset but both can live with it.

The DL/NW award and the US/AWA award are actually very similar. What
is different is the
expectations that the USAir east group had (has?). DOH was always an unlikely outcome (in either arbitration). Leadership on the east should have recognized that reality, and moderated the expectations of the membership.
