From a security standpoint, I wouldn't want people (i.e. potentially bad guys) to know that this was going to be happening. I agree with the Air Force. The people will get over this in about two seconds.
If it's a security issue then maybe they shouldn't do it for a photo op. Use photo shop and save my tax money!
