We've seen a big increase in our DEN flying recently. It's nice to get away from IAD and ORD for a while. I was just through there yesterday.
We are staffed here at Mesa, so much so that they are offering 7-day, 30-day, 6-month and 12-month voluntary time off, and vacation buying (you can purchase hours of vacation and take them at your leisure). We've also furloughed 80, with 20 more coming.
I don't think anyone besides XJET has any airframes sitting around, and no one could buy new ones and staff them in time to cover the flying.
I beg to differ. I think that Hulie could probably get a real nice lease on a few of them in pretty short order and maybe bring back some of OUR furloughees to cover the flying that we already do for United in the first place, you know, with that Dulles crew base and all. Just sayin.
