I haven't gone here, but I did find out about a new school that opened at KFXE called Fort Lauderdale Flight Training. They have 8 aircraft and I was told that one of the owners is a Jet Blue pilot.

They are advertising private pilot courses for $7613, but that is for minimum hours and we all know how that goes!
But $7613 for a private pilot course is a good price and hopefully the extra hours will be just as reasonable.
They have instrument for $8992 as well as commercial multi.
Just don't pay them in advance and I think you should be ok.
