The whole "paying your dues" phrase is bull**** because its really a relative thing. Someone that has gone through multiple furloughs and divorce might have a different perspective then the guy that was at Skywest for 5 years then went to Southwest and been on reserve for a total of 5 months...
If you can exactly quantify "paying your dues" I might buy into the phrase, otherwise it ****es me off.
It really boils down to choices and consequences, not "deserve," not "justice" and not "dues."
