I am assuming you would disagree since there were many pilots hired with low time (500TT or less) in the recent years? We can agree to disagree, but as long as this attitude of "You need to pay your dues" continues then the senior pilots will continue to eat their young, negotiate ridiculously low 1st yr payscales, crappy reserve QOL for jr pilots, etc etc. Before you respond about how nobody is forcing a pilot to get hired for $21/hr and put up with the work rules please come up with something new because that is a weak, old, tired argument.

More importantly than hours in the logbook is attitude(yes I said attitude is more important that 1500TT opposed to 500TT). I think most CAs would agree they would rather fly with a low time pilot who is eager to learn and professional attitude compared to a 5000TT, bitter, know-it-all FO.
