FWIW...ANG units have a lot more input into things such as this (i.e. getting an age-waiver for their pilot-candidate).
It is my understanding that AFRC (Reserve) will not, at the present time, consider anyone over the age cutoff (even if a unit desires such). I believe that policy was reinforced by the last commander of AFRC.
