attitide is the job of the HR and background people to weed out. The purpose of minimum total time has directly to do with experience level, as has been long established by the insurance industry.

That would be a fair statement; however the reality is, and I'm sure you'll learn this when you move to the left seat... there are far more know-it-all's in the last 3 years then in the previous 10... and they're ticked off about the older guys still being at regionals, such as Eagle, and taking up "their" seat.

You are also looking at it solely from one viewpoint. As it is, I'm much more interested in not having to watch every single move the other pilot is making than if he/she is in a good mood. Granted, a good personality is important and makes the day go by easier, but you can not underestimate how much having a competent pilot that doesn't need to be watched every second of the day also makes the day more pleasurable. It is very tiring/draining to have to babysit each and every single minute of the day.

Other than that, and I agree with ya
